Electrician Night Shift

Location: Panda operational sites
Shift: Night shift
Contract: Full-time

The Role

As an Electrician Night Shift at Panda, you’ll play an important role in keeping our operational sites running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This is a hands-on industrial electrical role, working across production-critical machinery, site infrastructure, and electrical systems. You’ll support planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, fault-find under pressure, and help minimise downtime across busy operational environments.

The Electrician Night Shift role would suit an experienced Industrial Electrician who enjoys problem solving, working with machinery, and being part of a skilled engineering team that keeps essential operations moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Installing, commissioning, and aligning electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs
  • Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults to minimise downtime
  • Working on industrial production equipment, including:
    • Motors
    • Contactors
    • VSDs
    • PLC-controlled systems
    • Instrumentation
    • Starters
    • Industrial wiring and containment
    • Temporary installations
  • Supporting mechanical breakdowns where required
  • Working closely with mechanical teams, engineers, supervisors, and site management
  • Ensuring all electrical work is completed safely and in line with site procedures, legislation, and compliance standards
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records
  • Handling materials, components, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Helping improve site reliability, performance, and operational uptime
  • Participating in a weekend on-call rota when required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

  • FETAC Level 6 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Trade
  • National Trade Certificate / Trade Card
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • Previous experience working on industrial sites or production environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good technical knowledge of:
    • Motors, contactors, and VSDs
    • PLC-controlled systems
    • Industrial wiring and containment
    • Instrumentation and starters
    • Temporary electrical installations
  • An interest in mechanical systems and the ability to support mechanical breakdowns
  • MEWP experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided
  • Full driving licence and own transport would be advantageous
  • Fluent English
  • Flexibility to support a weekend shift rota when required
